The session, produced by the BBC World Service, features a conversation between the UN leader and three teenagers on what young people want from the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as they question the current state of the world with the hopes of shaping a more meaningful future for everyone.

Ms. Amina J. Mohammed is the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Mohammed served as Minister of Environment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where she steered the country’s efforts on climate action and efforts to protect the natural environment.
Ms. Mohammed first joined the United Nations in 2012 as Special Adviser to former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon with the responsibility for post-2015 development planning. She led the process that resulted in global agreement around the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Ms. Mohammed began her career working on the design of schools and clinics in Nigeria. She served as an advocate focused on increasing access to education and other social services, before moving into the public sector, where she rose to the position of adviser to three successive Presidents on poverty, public sector reform, and sustainable development.
Ms. Mohammed has been conferred several honorary doctorates and has served as an adjunct professor, lecturing on international development. The recipient of various global awards, Ms Mohammed has served on numerous international advisory boards and panels. She is the mother of six children and has two grandchildren.

Sana Safi (ثنا ساپۍ ) was Born in Kabul and raised in Kandahar, Helmand, Nangarhar and across other cities in Afghanistan.She is a producer and lead presenter for the daily BBC Pashto TV news programme, BBC Naray Da Wakht (BBC World Right Now).
Sana joined BBC World Service – of which BBC Pashto is part – in 2006 as a field reporter in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad. She then worked as a BBC Pashto radio, Online and TV producer and presenter, based in London.
As presenter of the BBC Pashto TV news programme, Sana was the first broadcast journalist to interview Afghanistan’s First Lady, Rula Ghani, after her husband, Ashraf Ghani, took office in 2014. In 2015, Safi was given a rare access to some of Afghanistan’s rising super rich class in Dubai as well as Kabul’s exclusive addresses, to discuss their vision for the future of their country.
Before joining the BBC, Sana worked as the only female journalist in Jalalabad’s state-run radio and television station, RTAJ. She also headed an educational institution in Jalalabad, which was providing literacy and numeracy classes for women and children who had been deprived of education under the Taliban regime. Apart from her journalistic work, she is known for her fictional writings in Pashto. She is the author of a children’s book and a collection of short stories, “On the Banks of the River Thames”.
Sana has completed her studies in Journalism and Media and Political Science. As well as Pashto and English, she speaks Dari, Persian and understands Urdu.
